Project Overview
The Sleeping Bear Resort website project was an exciting endeavor for our team. It is truly rewarding to contribute to the success and growth of local businesses. We collaborated closely with the resort’s team to design a new logo and establish a captivating brand color palette. This set the foundation for creating a custom-styled WordPress website that embodies the essence and uniqueness of Sleeping Bear Resort.
Debra and the crew at LaLa Projects knocked it out of the park with our website! They patiently walked us through the Sleeping Bear Resort site rebuild and spent a lot of time with us to understand the direction and look we were going for. The “Things To Do” section is one that anyone coming to the Traverse City/Sleeping Bear Dunes area can use whether they are staying at Sleeping Bear Resort or not. She was very clear with the time, content, and cost expectations throughout the process that helped with decision making and keeping the project on time and on budget. We utilized our portfolio plugin, the LaLa block library, and ThinkReservation integration to create a visually appealing and user-friendly lodging feature. This combination enabled us to showcase each cabin and provide potential guests with an availability calendar.
Furthermore, our collaboration with the resort served as the catalyst for the development of the LaLa Things-To-Do plugin. By integrating this plugin with the Locals.guide database and incorporating user-friendly admin settings, we were able to curate a comprehensive list of local attractions and activities that were important to the resort.
Implementing the LaLa Things-To-Do plugin not only provided guests with a seamless experience but also proved to be a powerful SEO tool. It generated hundreds of locally relevant pages, greatly aiding guests in finding exciting things to do within the three-county area surrounding the resort.
Overall, this project was a thrilling venture for us, allowing us to showcase our expertise and collaborate with a local business to create an engaging and informative online presence.
