Boyne City Main Street is a grassroots, volunteer-driven program focused on preserving Boyne City’s downtown and fostering economic development. As a part of the Main Street America Program, their goal is to revive the local economy, bring the community together, and forge the future for cities and towns across the country.

Our goal was to provide a platform that highlights all the town has to offer and supports the incredible work undertaken by Boyne City Main Street. With a user-friendly design and intuitive navigation, the website offers an immersive experience, allowing visitors to explore the town’s rich history, attractions, and upcoming events. It serves as a central hub for residents to access important information, participate in local initiatives, and engage with the vibrant community around them.
We take immense pride in our contribution to Boyne City Main Street’s mission and their commitment to creating a strong and cohesive community. Together, we created a powerful online resource showcasing the town’s unique character and all the incredible experiences it offers.
We worked with Debra and her team to complete three brand new web sites in a six month period. To say we are pleased with the efficiency of the process and the end result would be an understatement. From the beginning, the team was thorough, responsible with our time (which translates into making our dollars work harder), and provided clarity and insight as we worked through decisions. We had several non-negotiable parameters with these ‘related’ sites and those were easily met with this team. We now have three sites that are user and mobile friendly, very easy to edit and delightfully rich with information and white space with nary a repeat of a page layout. Debra was also very forthcoming about what things we should accomplish on our own – with their assistance – so as to also monitor the budget. Frankly, our entire team recommends them to anyone who asks – and especially to those that need new web sites!

Project Features
We utilized LaLa Theme 4 as the foundation for the BCMS website, tailoring its appearance through a branded child theme. With a focus on enhancing functionality, we integrated various plugins. Notably, a custom directory plugin was developed to highlight local businesses, while The Events Calendar plugin efficiently manages and showcases the diverse array of local events. Collaborating with a dedicated steering committee, we meticulously organized essential information about the organization, the community, and the many activities in the area.
