Project Overview
A.J. Stewart was ready for a major overhaul on his website. It is fun to work on a project when we know we can make a big difference to someone’s online presence.
LaLaProjects took an old, tired, hard to manage website and rebuilt it from the ground up. The team not only did a great job with the visible site, making it user friendly and enabling easy access to all kind of books in many different formats, but also paid a lot of attention to create a site that was easy to manage on the backend, so our team doesn’t waste hours doing content updates. The design hits home and the automations make content management a breeze. I highly recommend the LaLaProjects team for all aspects of website development.

Project Details
We used LaLa Theme 4 + the LaLa Authors Plugin to add the required functionality. We completely customize the look and feel to match A.J.’ s brand. The blue deckled edge action bar nods to a sense of edgy adventure. We wove tropical images and graphics into the website to help showcase the subject of his books. We used shades of blue throughout the custom website design. The dark blue makes it feel slightly moodier, while the bright blue energizes the call-to-actions. We gave the buttons an angle and playful animation to help the user feel like they are heading toward their next adventure.
For the logo, we took inspiration from the author’s name as it was displayed on the book covers, but tried to elevate it a bit. We found a modern feeling bold, san-serif font with a nice italic, again to give it that sense of forward movement or action. The boldness gives it a nice weight and makes it easy to read.
All in all, we are really pleased with how the entire project came together. We wish A.J. even more success as he rolls out his new books and series.
