Project Overview
Roy Howard, the owner of Old School Builders came to us in need of a website and logo update. The goal of this project was to create a clean and navigable website highlighting their services and showcasing a few of their projects. In addition to the website, the new logo was be used to create other brand assets such as yard signs and business cards.
Project Details
Before creating the website we first created a variety of logo options to show Roy. Old School Builders had an existing logo and color scheme and wanted the new logo to be similar but more elegant and visual appealing. After the client decided upon the logo, we began to create a Squarespace website that matched the feel of the logo. After selecting a theme and integrating it with brand colors it was time to fill it with content.
In order to fill pages with meaningful copywriting, we had to get more familiar with Old School Builders. This entailed an interview-like conversation with Roy the owner to discover their core values and the type of work they do. Based on this conversation, we then crafted messages for each page and infused them with SEO rich keywords with a goal to rank higher in Google.
Another form of content that we needed to create was imagery for the website. Roy had a number of projects that he wanted to showcase on the website and used our photography service to create these photos. We worked with each homeowner to find a time we could come out and take photos of their home. After taking the photos, we processed, and upload them to the website, building out the portfolio pages.
