Sonshine Barn

Working with the Sonshine sisters was great, they bring an interesting dynamic to the creative process. They worked with LaLa Projects to give sonshinebarn.com a facelift. It is always exciting to get involved in a project at the beginning. We reworked the logo and built a new modern website to highlight their beautiful wedding venue.

To start this project we did a free consultation, followed by a proposal.  Once the proposal was accepted we began working on a logo enhancement portion of the project.  The design challenge was to keep the original font on the main part of the logo, add a graphic icon, and modernize the overall feel of the logo.  In order to maintain the existing brand elements, we incorporated burgundy in the logo and website design.

We worked closely with the client to match their vision for the brand and website.  They wanted a clean modern feeling website with a large image area above the fold.  The site is informational with strong call-to-actions throughout to help with their sales process.  We worked the client to reorganize the content so users can quickly find the information they are looking for.

They had an existing blog, we exported/imported from the old website to the new website, and from there the client edited it down to the still relevant posts.  We also assisted in improving their SEO, writing and adding metadata, and redirecting old URLs to new optimized ones.

Overall, we feel like the logo and website turned out beautifully!

We recently added two new features to the website, the Wedding Vendors and Wedding Portfolio plugins. The Wedding Vendors plugin makes it easy for her clients to browse local vendors while the Wedding Portfolio highlights the beauty of each couple’s wedding to show future couples a visual for imagining their own special day.
