MyNorth.com is the online home of Traverse, Northern Michigan’s Magazine, the flagship publication of MyNorth Media, a Traverse City, Michigan company dedicated to sharing stories and photos about vacations, restaurants, wineries, the outdoors and more from Traverse City to Sleeping Bear Dunes and up to Mackinac Island.

Project Overview
We’d had the privilege of working with My North for a number of years. We cannot claim credit for the entire My North website, our work with them has been a true collaboration. We helped them with various aspects of their website.
Project Details
Website Navigation
The primary website navigation is quite complex. Technically it is made up of three navigations. On mobile, the three navigations are stitched together to make one robust mobile navigation.
The Directory
The directory is a very complex part of the website. We designed and developed the templates for the archive page and the directory detail page. The archive page showcases a beautiful banner with search functionality. We also built a custom WordPress block that can be used to highlight a portion of the directory on any page or post.
Search Results Page
Finding content on the My North website is important. We helped customize the Search results page to deliver relevant content for curious users.
Server & Speed Optimization
This website offers its users a tremendous amount of content, it is critical that the site speed is optimized. We helped My North optimize the website and server to give deliver content to their users faster.
