Project Overview
Given that the entire staff has a love of the Great Lakes, we were excited to work with Adam Prettyman on his new business venture. Our goal was to polish up an existing logo, design a business card, and create a website that would stand out in his industry.
Project Details
For the website design, we used rich dark blues with accents of gold to create a brand color that offers the website user a sense of a high-end polished refinement. Boats at any level are a luxury good, we wanted to appeal to that clientele, but it was also important to stay grounded so that anyone looking for this service would feel comfortable contacting Prettyman Marine.
Using the LaLa WordPress Theme 3 as a base, we developed a custom-designed website. All the images and text content can be easily be managed from within the friendly-to-use WordPress Content Management System (CMS).
Adam had a lot of technical information to share with his website users. It was important to convey accurate information and create an authoritative and knowledgeable voice. We worked to convert technical jargon into consumer-friendly website content. Boat surveying is kind of a dirty job, from a marketing perspective we wanted to white-wash the task to make it feel like the client is taking a step towards their dream life. Adam put a lot of time and effort into working with our content coaches and copywriters to create and develop content and metadata that would put his website to work. It was worth the work, we are happy to report that his website is ranking well, and he continues to see improvement in his organic listing on a monthly basis.
Lastly, to bring it all together we created a matching business card and brand guide for the future.
