Ahead of the curve
With Covid-19 the world has changed, everyone is discovering the world of remote working. Here at LaLa Projects, our company was built to work remotely. Rest assured we are business as usual, always here to help, and able to work remotely.
We are a thriving website design and development firm with a strong connection to Traverse City, Michigan. Our company is comprised of digital-savvy Michigan natives with a passion for the web. We are a remote team that can support businesses near and far.
Our Favorite Remote Tools
G-Suites
We use G-suites for our Email accounts, Google Drive, and Google Meet. Each client requires a Gmail or G-suite email so that we can set up Google website tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google ReCaptcha.
Google Drive
We also set up each client with a shared Google Drive folder, this allows us to deliver our creative work seamlessly.
Google Meet
Everyone is embracing the video chat. We love this! We’ve been video chatting for years, it is the closest thing you can get to an in-person meeting. Many people are using Zoom, but we prefer Google Meet. It is included in the G-Suite package, so there is no additional charge. It is easy-to-use, they provide an alternate call-in number if needed. The screen share function is clutch, we use this all the time, it is great for visually communicating ideas and training.
Slack
We can’t imagine life without Slack, it is the best thing since sliced bread!! In addition to instant messaging, we love the channels. Our channels are integrated with a number of other digital products, so we get notifications on InVision, GitHub, and WordPress. The team can have and track project-specific conversations on the channel.
GitHub
GitHub is our development repository. We use this software to track our projects, issues, and development work.
InVision
Our website designers use Sketch to layout design concepts for our websites. Then we sync them up to InVision to give our clients website prototypes. This is a great way to express ideas, it is easy to share, and clients love it.
