Debra with Lala Projects designed the websites for three of my small businesses – Starry Night Barn, Dragonfly Event Designs and Century Farm Cottages. She has worked with businesses across northern Michigan and many in the events industry. She is an artist with a keen business sense and super tech smart. She and her staff at Lala are always working on opportunities to create efficiencies and fill a need. She approached me a few years ago and asked if we’d be willing to work with them on vendor plugins and explained the concept – so brilliant! As a business, I can add and delete the vendors I want to link with and the information is all there – all populated. It creates a larger community and opportunity to network with area businesses in the events industry without all of us repeating the same work over and over again. If there’s a business that’s not on the list, I let Debra know or contact the business and give them the opportunity to join the community. Before this I spent hours – and then avoided doing it altogether – e-mailing and calling businesses to ask if I could add them, OK great, can you send me a blurb about you, your logo and contact info and next year when I have 30 minutes, I’ll get you added. The plugins allow us to connect with one another and remove all of that leg work. Thank you Debra and Lala Projects!
